Number One.

So, post one.
Let's just get it all out there: we're at a bar. Perhaps that's true to form, but those are the haps. With a touch of irony, the lyrics "All that shimmers is sure to fade away," is on the loud speaker.

Wait, "Genie in a Bottle" just came on, never mind.

But, back to truth. We want to touch on life's experiences. Its trials, heartbreaks, and victories. The moments that mean something, the sound bytes that haunt you, and the memories that get far too much significance attached to them.

That being said, there are moments, lessons, and people who transcend all of that and are truly great. The beauty of those poignant people and places - both sweet and bitter - are what we would call a "key takeaway" and it's these moments that shape a person's life, humanity, and relationships.
So yes, all that shimmers does fade away, but what's left? Is it learning? Is it bitterness? Is it a warm nostalgia? There is always an overarching emotion that accompanies memory. It might linger like a waft of air you can't quite get your arms around, elicit a cringe at the mere mention, or hit like a locomotive. It's there.
We took one another from our own life-altering experience and, in the time since, are uncovering oodles about ourselves, our past, our views, and best of all, our future.
